Rehabilitation Services
Stevens Hospital offers a variety of rehabilitation services to help patients recover from illness and injury. Our team of dedicated, caring professionals has experience in occupational and physical therapy, and speech pathology.
Stevens' rehabilitation services provide compassionate and professional care to the patients we serve. We treat the whole person, not just the injured part, placing special emphasis on customer service, quality care, and patient and family education. Our goal is to help patients regain function, prevent injury and illness, and be as independent as possible in their daily lives.
Who needs rehabilitation?
The Stevens rehab department provides services to adult, older adult, and select adolescent and pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Following a thorough patient evaluation, a customized treatment plan is designed to achieve specific goals.
Therapists are experienced in treating patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and medical problems, including:
- Stroke and brain injury.
- Orthopedic injuries and surgeries.
- Neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis.
- Swallowing difficulties.
- Arthritis.
- Tendonitis, sprains and other soft tissue injuries.
- Speech or language difficulties.
- Balance problems.
- Workplace injuries.
- Musculoskeletal pain.
