Stevens Center for Internal Medicine Physician Bios
All our physicians, members of the Stevens Hospital staff, are board-certified internal medicine specialists. As internists, their training is particularly helpful when managing chronic illness or for patients with multiple health issues.
Keith A. Luther, MD
Dr. Luther is a Board Certified Diplomate in Internal Medicine. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he completed his residency at Tulane University in New Orleans.
Dr. Luther is particularly interested in preventive health care, geriatrics and adolescent medicine. He believes good health is attained through physical, mental and emotional wellness. Dr. Luther has practiced medicine in the north Seattle and Edmonds area for the past eight years.
To maintain his own health, Dr. Luther enjoys rock climbing, mountaineering and being active in the outdoors with his wife and two dogs.
Matthew J. Matko, MD
Dr. Matko is a Board Certified Diplomate in Internal Medicine. A medical school graduate of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio he completed his residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Prior to medical school, Dr. Matko received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Dr. Matko believes health is attained through physical, mental and emotional wellness. To maintain his own health he enjoys hiking, skiing, kayaking and cooking.
B. Khanh Nguyen, MD
Dr. Nguyen is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She graduated from medical school and completed her residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Nguyen has practiced at Stevens Center for Internal Medicine since April 1994. Dr. Nguyen’s special interests in medicine are women’s healthcare, diabetes management and cardiovascular health.
In her leisure time Dr. Nguyen enjoys gardening, minia-tures and antiques. She is fluent in Vietnamese.
Linda Brunson, MD
Dr. Brunson is a Board Certified Diplomate in Internal Medicine. A graduate of Tufts University in Boston, Massa-chusetts, she completed her residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree in Nutrition from the University of California, Davis and a M.Ed from Tufts University.
In her leisure time, Dr. Brunson enjoys spending time with her children and pets. Reading and gardening are her favorite pastimes.
Linda Strong, MD
Dr. Strong is board-certified in Internal Medicine. A graduate from the Medical College of Georgia, she completed her residency and internship at Sacred heart Medical Center and Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Strong earned two undergraduate degrees from the University of Washington in chemical engineering and chemistry.
Dr. Strong has practiced at Stevens Center for Internal Medicine since September of 1994 and has a special interest in women’s healthcare, diabetes management and cardiovascular health.
To maintain her own health, Dr. Strong enjoys gardening, hiking, music and spending time with her husband and children.
