Planned Gifts
Consider a planned gift. Make a commitment today that will benefit Stevens in the future. Planned giving is a technique that helps you maximize the personal benefits of your charitable giving and allows you to make gifts you might have thought impossible. It is done through advantageous tax treatment under both state and federal law. Planned giving is merely a way to make a gift and also enjoy the benefits of these laws.

Charitable Bequest
Bequests by will are the most common planned gifts. A bequest is especially appropriate if the donor wishes to retain full control of property during their life while leaving a legacy to Stevens Hospital. A donor can make a specific dollar bequest or give a percentage of an estate. Stevens Hospital can be named as a contingent or secondary beneficiary. Stevens Hospital encourages anyone undertaking estate planning do so in consultation with an attorney or other financial advisors for tax and legal advice.

Memorial Gift
If you would like to designate the Stevens Hospital to receive donations in memory of your loved one, we suggest the following verbiage in the obituary: “In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Stevens Foundation, 21601 76th Ave. W., Edmonds, WA 98026”.
The Foundation can also provide you with donation envelopes to distribute to families and friends. Please contact the foundation at 425.640.4068 for more information.
Your family will be notified of donations in memory of your loved one as soon as a gift is received. A thank you card for each donor will also be provided for your convenience.
