Edmonds: A Great Place to Live and Work
Stevens Hospital is nestled in quaint Edmonds, which is known as a jewel along the Puget Sound. Just 15 miles north of Seattle, this seaside town offers breathtaking views, outstanding schools and a real sense of community.
Edmonds’ shoreline is a protected marine sanctuary accessible to all. It offers beautiful sandy beaches, flower-lined walkways, scuba-diving park, fishing pier and an 800-vessell marina. Ferryboats can be seen drifting back and forth from the Olympic Peninsula, while beachcombers explore the shoreline.
The arts play a significant role in the community. Three theater companies, a youth symphony and two ballet companies call Edmonds home. Arts festivals and free concerts run throughout the year, and public art is displayed among the downtown and marina areas.
Downtown Edmonds offers a diverse collection of boutiques, art galleries, cafes and fine restaurants. Residents and tourists alike enjoy the great shopping, outstanding cuisine and beautiful views of this small town. Washingtonians consistently vote Edmonds as “the friendliest town on the Puget Sound”.
Edmonds is also a great place to raise a family. The Edmonds School District is nationally recognized for providing quality education to children. The district is committed to using both state testing results and classroom work to report student achievement. The students consistently rank at or above the state results in many achievement areas. There are also many youth programs in the Edmonds community.
The city of Seattle is just a short drive away – offering world-class shopping, dining, cultural attractions, professional sporting events and a major Pacific Rim business center.
